Optimal Wireless Technology Selection Approach for Sustainable Indian Smart Grid

The smart grid is playing a game-changing role in achieving clean and green energy, infrastructure, cities, which are all part of the sustainable development goals. significance communication infrastructure reliable design operation well recognized, notably for renewable integration, facilitating distributed energy resources storage, demand response, efficiency. Since choosing optimal technology strategic decision, problem needs careful investigation, taking into account realistic data traffic estimates to fulfill applications envisaged. Even though vast array technologies with diverse capabilities available meet such needs, wireless project remains difficult challenge. In this context, achieve maximize benefits its applications, systematic efficient approach necessary. This study proposes data-driven decision-making evaluating viable options selecting most suitable option at phase. suggested decision-support tool were developed using cost-function-based optimization technique. A case Siliguri city Indian pilot discussed validate potential aptness presented suggest better alternatives as replacements.
